Sujeewa Pathinisekara

Sujeewa Pathinisekara, works for the Government of Sri Lanka, studied at Royal College, Colombo, St. Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa and Aquinas College, Colombo, graduated from University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 1993, Master of Arts- Drama & Theatre from University Sri Jayewardenepura in 2008.
worked for the drama group “Shakespeare Centre Sri Lanka” and studied acting and theatre from 1994-2011, He  translated, directed and produced William Shakespeare’s “King Lear” in Sinhala in 2012 it  was the first time in the history of Sri Lanka that King Lear has been produced in Sinhala -native language of Sri Lanka . He has been working with the Inter Act Art team since then. He also directed and acted the German contemporary play “Violin, Cello, Double Base” in Sinhala “Api Narakai Thamai” in 2016. Acted in the children’s theatre play “Kevin” directed by M. Safeer in 2019. “Untouched” is a contemporary play written and directed by him for the world theatre.
