‘’Swings of Love’’- India – Sri Lanka
Directed by M.Safeer
Swings of Love tell the story of the last woman in the world, performing her final act before parting. Through a series of symbolic swings—red, blue, black, purple, and white—her presence unfolds as she speaks to the audience, sharing the essence of life, love, and femininity. The woman’s message is profound, urging the audience to listen and understand, as her time on stage is fleeting, and she will soon be gone.

The swings represent the cycles of life and the shifting emotions of love, each color imbued with its own meaning. The minimal narration allows the performer’s physical expressions to take center stage, with visual elements like background pictures and videos intensifying the emotional depth. The swings continue to move, even after the woman’s departure, symbolizing that love endures even as life fades. The performance is an evocative exploration of womanhood, existence, and the universal experience of love, crafted through movement, color, and symbolism.
