The Loops – Sri Lanka – 04th September

The central character here is a young woman from a family representing a high social class, and she is raped by her father on the central occasion of the play (i.e. on her twenty-sixth birthday). As a result, she suffers a post-traumatic stress disorder, and eventually decides to commit suicide by hanging herself. The question of whether she died, or whether she was saved from death is left to the audience, and whether she is dead or alive, on the night she tried to commit suicide or did it, she sees herself being raped again in a flower shop in a dream.

Being traumatized by that dream, she sees that dream at a certain moment every day, and to escape from it, she chooses death again. But she is afraid that her body will be abused again after death. He is helpless, unable to embrace death in front of him at will.
