Cleopatra, Egypt’s enigmatic queen, wields sensuality as a political tool, while Egle, a simple girl, is forced into marriage with a serpent prince, embodying innocence and sacrifice. Their journeys, shaped by love and fate, culminate in tragic loss and transformation.

A single actor enacts both roles through physical theatre and ritualistic elements, including Kerala’s Sarpakalam (snake-motif floor painting), dance, lighting, and live painting. Salim Nair’s evocative score, Elegy for Two Queens, enhances the performance’s immersive ambience.
